Here we go bloggers! My bathroom makeover...

Well, after stalking a few of my favorite decorating blogs, I decided to not only redecorate my bathroom but to start a blog to share my decorating trials and errors with random people all over the globe. I can't count how many times I've said, "this time...this time I'm going to do before and after pics." Then I remember (as I'm putting my final coat of paint on) crud, I forgot to take my before picture. Now...I'm forcing myself.

My inspiration came from HERE and HERE. Such subtle, sweet stripes.

So, drum roll please, here is the BEFORE.....

There was so much paint build up outlining where the cabinet and mirror were that I had to patch and sand for two days to try and get it to look smooth...I finally gave up and hoped that the pictures on the walls would cast enough shadows that it wouldn't be too noticeable. ;)

And now for the AFTER...

Shew, I'm glad it's done. I'm glad I did it and I'm glad it was a very small space...it was quite a bit of work.

Paint:
Benjamin Moore (color matched with Velspar)
Glacier White (OC-37, the darker stripe)
Acadia White (OC-38)

  9. Very impressive! I'm trying to find ideas for our 1960's bathrooms. We've been in the house 5 years, guess it's time I get busy!
