Trash Pickin' Treasure

You'll never believe what I found in the trash today, I still can't believe it....

A fresh coat of paint and a screw and nut to fix a strap and presto, this woman's treasure!

Now I just have to find cushions that aren't going to cost an arm and a leg. I thought about recovering the old ones or but I have so many pokers in the fire right now that I'd rather now.....anyone know where to get patio cushions on the cheap?

  1. ha, that is a fantastic find, and the same way we got our sofa in the sunroom! it was in such good shape that i doubted that it was trash, but it was at the curb. good for you!

thank you so much for your kind words on my sunroom redo, and for stopping by the cape on the corner!

  2. great find, and it looks great. I wish you had time to recover the old cushions since you have them. My suggestions for cushions on the cheap would be big lots. Or k-mart. I got some there last year pretty cheap.
    good luck!
and I hope you get on the bloggy thing you're hoping for!

  3. I love it. I was just thinkin' the other day about how I never see anything good on trash day. I think it's because our trash trucks won't pick up anything not in their designated trashcans... party poopers! :) I agree with the Big Lots suggestion, that'd probably be the first place I'd check too. Good luck and can't wait to see what you end up with!

  4. What a great find. I painted my patio set black, too. Love it in black! Do you have a Garden Ridge close by? If so, that would be a great place to look for inexpensive cushions. I like your blog. I just found it and decided to follow along. :)
